Why choose Paperspine?

Avid readers know how expensive it is to buy books. New books cost an average of $14 and used books purchased from online sellers cost almost as much when you add in the shipping cost. Not to mention that when you’re done they take up space, right? When you’ve finished a Paperspine book, we recycle it on to another reader. We estimate that if you read just 3 books a month you can save over $400 a year by renting from Paperspine instead of buying, and you might even spare a few trees. Now that is real savings!

Libraries are a great public service but they don’t meet the needs of everyone. Small communities might not have a well-stocked library nearby, and in larger cities there is often a long waiting list for the most popular books. Also, libraries can only allow you to keep a book for a limited amount of time and have to charge late fees to manage demand. We have met with the directors of several public libraries and they agree that Paperspine is another great way to make more books available to more people.
